About Me
Hey guys, thanks for visiting my site. I'm Rob Hale. I'm a husband, father, former Navy veteran, and an Ironman triathlete.
Let me take you back a few years to really understand who I am. Ive been around fitness since the 6th grade. I started weight lifting with my high school football coaches, my parents had a brief period where they were heavy into weight lifting, and they had subscriptions to every fitness magazine available (mainly anything Joe Weider produced). I was big into Arnold, and the Mr Olympia, but being young and having parents who didn't know how to teach me about fitness, I was limited to what I was reading in the magazines.

After high school, I joined the Navy, and fitness was focused on passing the Navy PT Assessment. That didn't always happen the way it was supposed to. Due to schedules, and the birth of my daughters, my weight fluctuated as I often struggled to maintain a healthy schedule.
In 2009, I got out of the Navy and was able to make my own work schedule. Now, a father of 2, with a stay-at-home wife, I was able to spend more time working out. Unfortunately, the realization that I didn't have to maintain a standard quickly hit me, and I stopped working out all together. I gained about 35lbs, and peaked at an outrageous 255lbs, the heaviest I have ever weighed in my life.
Fast forward to 2011, I decided to set a goal in order to take control of my personal health. I wanted to run a triathlon. I set my eyes on Ironman 70.3 Miami in 2013. I began training for a local sprint distance race, and after 6-months, I completed my first race, and lost 6lbs. I now weighed 248lbs.
I decided to really dedicate myself to something. Yes, I was dedicated to my triathlon goal, but I needed structure to a workout and nutrition. I began P90X, the popular home workout by Beachbody. I had heard about it in 2007 when I returned from Iraq, but never put much thought into it. So, I decided to give it a serious try. After 90 days, I weighed 227lbs, after losing 28lbs. I was ecstatic.
To date, I have completed the following races:
Disney Darkside 10k
Pensacola Double Bridge Run (15k) x 2
Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon
Disney Dark side Half Marathon
Best Damn Race New Orleans Half Marathon x2
Gulf Coast Half Marathon
Disney Princess Half Marathon x 2
