Shakeology Boosts - Focused Energy
Beachbody’s Shakeology Boost - Focused Energy Review
At Beachbody’s Coach Summit event in Nashville, the company revealed its latest line of supplements: Shakeology Boosts. These had not been mentioned prior to the release, so it was a very interesting reveal. Luckily Beachbody provided an opportunity to try the boosts throughout the weekend at the Shakeology Bars.

FOCUSED ENERGY
First, what is in Focused Energy? Focused energy is an energy supplement comprised of the following natural sources: The first time I had tried this was in Nashville. My wife and I had decided to get some Shakeology after a grueling Shaun T workout (Max:30 live), and we were hungry. Just my luck, the Focused Energy was in the shake I was planning on getting (Vegan Chocolate and Peanut Butter with Almond Milk). I drank the shake and waited. I was almost expecting a crazy burst of energy, but was skeptical because I was exhausted. Not much was going to make me recover from that. As we drank our shakes, we walked through the Core, Beachbody’s mall if you will, where we were buying some clothing and other gear that we wanted. Nothing yet. I was almost disappointed.
About 45 minutes later, as we were standing in line to pay for our stuff, I started getting an energy boost. It was noticeable, and I was unsure what it was. I was just full of energy, almost like I wanted to do another workout. It was great, and Connie felt it too. We talked about it, and even had that same discussion with Darren Olien about that. He was pleased that we felt the effects.
So, what did I feel? Well, it was a gradual increase in energy. Nothing shocking to the system, and nothing that made my heart rate start to race. It was like my brain just started to function after waking from a good nights sleep. I wasn’t jittery, I wasn’t over anxious, just full of energy.
The effects were felt throughout the day as I sat in training briefings. I was taking notes, and engaged in the presentations (I don’t normally sit still for anything longer than 5 minutes). It was amazing. I felt, for lack of a better term, focused.
But did I crash? Nope. Not at all. It was a gradual decline in energy back to an almost normal level. Let’s put this into perspective. I was up at 4:30am, worked out with Shaun T, sat in 4 hours of briefings and presentations, and walked around Nashville for a few hours before it started wearing off. A full 8hours of energy, and then I felt normal again. Not sitting still, not really concentrating on anything. Good thing it was just dinner and hanging out by then. But no crash, I didn’t go to sleep for another 3-4 hours, and I had no trouble sleeping.
Overall, I loved it. The energy boost was much enjoyed. I use this product at least 3 days a week during a teaching week when I am on my feet for 6-hours straight. It helps me be awake and attentive for the family at night, and it helps me get some work done. Do I recommend this, ABSOLUTELY! Everyone! Even my wife gets more things done when she adds it to her shake.
